Rain, Rain, Stay Away!
Posted in Life
We have had a month's worth of rain in the last 2 days. I don't think we have to worry about a drought anytime soon. We received 7.5 inches yesterday and about 4 of those were in about a 2 to 3 hour period. Our street was flooded and our pond was up over the bank. It covered our neighbor's dock and another dock broke loose. The girls and I saw some small dead fish on the sidewalk near the beginning of our neighborhood.
Then if that wasn't enough, we were woke early this morning to thunder and more rain. It ended up being another 2 inches! Thankfully, it didn't rain anymore today although you could definitely feel it in the air. We have a strong chance of rain the rest of the week which we really don't need. If you think about it, please pray that the rain might hold off on Saturday. We have an open house planned and it has rained every one we have had.

I wish the rain would come our way! We are in the middle of a severe drought! But, hopefully, you will have no more rain this week.

It seems like it's always one extreme or the other, doesn't it? How did the open house go? The market here is really dead, and with James being a contractor, that is not good. He builds his own houses and sells them. In fact, we're out of work indefinately right now. Scary.
In spite of the lack of work, we are going ahead and frugally taking the trip we have planned for this weekend, so I am praying that Virginia waits until after next Monday to get their rain!!
