Last night we watched the just-released Gunn Brothers documentary entitled (after John Knox's tract by the same name) "The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women". The Monstrous Regiment refers to the Feminists in our day. It deals with feminism, socialism, daycare, modesty, women in the military and workplace, planned parenthood, abortion, Hillary, birth control and more.
Christian women of my generation do not realize how much of the unbiblical feminist mindset we have assimilated into our own hearts and minds. This documentary is disturbing, encouraging, and very powerful. Christian women of all denominations would benefit from watching "The Monstrous Regiment" and every church library should have a copy!

| We just watched "God Grew Tired of Us", a National Geographic documentary (and winner of a 2006 Sundance Film Festival Award). This follows three Sudanese "Lost Boys" as they come to America and experience electricity and running water and a completely new perspective on life. It is heart-wrenching and fascinating to watch and I didn't want it to end. We found it on Netflix (and you can get a free trial of Netflix at www.netflix.com). |
