A Peek Inside Cedar Road Academy

• Apr. 7, 2006 - Rowing "Snowflake Bentley"

It's been a great week with our Five in a Row book. My little 6 yo scientist really got into it and asked me to help her make a book about the story. Here's what we came up with. It's hard to see, but each letter of the title is on a snowflake-shaped hexagon. If you want to see the actual Bentley photographs, check out this website mentioned in the FIAR archives: http://www.snowflakebentley.com/snowflakes.htm

I love it!
I walked down the hall at my niece's school the other day and they had all kinds of cutesy things on the wall that the kids had made. It was nice but when I enjoy MAKING the things with my kids and seeing their excitement when they learn something and when they make something. That is what homeschooling is all about!
You are an awesome mom for letting your child lead on that learning experience :)

It's always good to meet a fellow Buckeye on here! I've enjoyed your blog. We've been homeschooling for 13 years (counting K) and we're about to graduate our oldest dd! Where did the time GO?! Our next in line is a Freshman dd and it's so good to read you blog and look back to those younger years and remember all the fun and all the milestones. Thanks for the memories. Come visit: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/Buckeyeblog, http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/OHIO and http://www.homesteadblogger.com/wannabeone.

Blessings from Ohio (too), Kim Wolf<><

About Me

Homeschooling is really lifeschooling, wouldn't you say? So, a look at our "academy" is really a look at our life. I hope you enjoy taking a "peek." :-) If you know me IRL (in real life), you can now watch my gang grow up in cyberspace. For those of you who use the wonderful FiveInaRow (FIAR) curriculum, you know me as "Angela in Ohio" on the Message Board. Let me just say, it's been a pleasure to get to know each of you better through your blogs, too. And, if you're a visitor who doesn't know me from Eve, welcome! Let me know that you dropped by. It's always fun to make new friends!
