My Life and Homeschooling

• Aug. 3, 2007 - Humid weather, busy days and drawing closer to God

The last couple days have been really humid. The temp has been near 100 degrees. The heat doesn't usually bother me, but these days it does.  Good thing it's not  like this too often here.   When I haven't been running errands, I've been out in the kiddie pool with the kids. Sophie will stay out there all day if I let her :) .  Today when we were finished in the pool we gave Paige a bath.

I have been drawing closer to God these past few days. We've had some trials lately, and I had been starting to get  a little down, which isn't like me.  I've been praying a ton, reading my bible everyday  and I'm starting to have more faith.  Today I started really thinking positively  about different situations.  I like the verses in Jeremiah 29 that say:   "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.  Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek Me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

I love Jer.29:11. It reminds me I am not in this alone,
Well, I won't lie We didn't start yet things came up so were starting on the 13th. My kids participate in so many different VBS's due to family members attend different churches in the area so they will be busy with family for this last week then it time to learn. I needed a few extra weeks to get things in better order. My DS3 now wants to be hs... what else can pop up:) Lots of time in prayer this rollercoaster has to stop somewhere.:)

Hi~
It's great you've used your kiddie-pool alot this summer! We have too! It's been around 105 in mid day here in Cali, so we all go cool off in our kiddie-pools everyday. Sometimes the kids are in it for hours!
God bless you!
