What to blog about

I am crazy.  I am trying to get comfortable writing amusing things for complete strangers to read.  That seems a little weird.  The trouble for me is this... what should I blog about?  It looks like today it will be my inability to comfortably blog.  (You can skip to the next blog to read now if you want)

I have read countless blogs about couponing, cleaning, organizing, hating a variety of reality TV shows, shopping, kids, etc.  you know, you read them too.  Some are very uplifting and encouraging - I come back to those.  Others are flashy, loud and mean.  Lots of blogs are kind of how to "_____".  None of that fits me very well.  I do enjoy pointing out God's wonderful hand in everything I do.  I could make a list a mile long, but a few examples are worth reporting.

In the midst of turmoil - God showed me that my 13 year old son is a very Godly man.  - WOW
God has brought a new encourager to a wonderful group of women I work with.
God has brought my sweet husband home from a trip unexpectedly - I really needed a hug from him that day.

I pray that as you read this you will be encouraged by His work all around you.  Hopefully I will get better at sharing more of the great joys and lessons He is giving me.

My new attempts at this thing called blogging

OK - I am a real scatter brain.  I have tried to blog before and not gotten very far.  One little tidbit and then I stop.  You are reading this, so you like blogs.  I think I like blogs.  I am addicted to facebook and like coming up with interesting updates all day.  Life can really be interesting if you look at it like it is.  I talk to myself all the time, so maybe if I type the conversation, I won't feel so kooky.  So here goes another attempt at this.

Today was an ordinary church day.  Wake up, get dressed etc..., only I am so exhausted from the week at camp I am really not focused on the morning.  I get the kids moving (sort of) and start the breakfast stuff.  I bet you are on the edge of your seat with anticipation - ate breakfast, found bibles, exited the house and drove to church.  Whoopie!

Not too much happening at church - I am on staff and summer is very different from the rest of the year.  Today the kids worked on faith journals.  We put together some interesting writing prompts for the kids and they decorated the covers and then worked on it.  My girls seemed really into it and most finished each page.

I wonder if this is very interesting at all.  Not really, maybe while you read this you could nap.  Nothing too funny with the kids or pets today.
