Another Splendid Day

Yesterday was exquisite.  Such a fancy word?  Yep!  I can't think of another word to describe my day. The schedule I had in place needed some minor tweeking, but other than that it was smooth sailing.  I was expecting to have to do more training than I did.  The children remembered everything that they had been taught in the previous years in regards to how I expect them to act during table time.  They also took initiative, something that has been lacking in previous years.  I am hoping that by next year they will be able to set their own schedules.  I would just like to give them their assignments and chore lists and let them sort out their day-that is my goal anyways.

I cannot blog today without mentioning the anniversary of 9-11.  We lost a certain innocence that day, at least my generation did.  I will never forget opening up my son's backpack that night to find a drawing of people jumping out of a burning building.  I will talk with them about that tragic day this morning.  We will say prayers for still grieving families and for our president.

On a lighter note, you may notice that I changed my avatar.  Here is the not-so-serious version of that picture:

I know-what a bunch of weirdies!  Seriously...what is with the fingers up the nose?

Well, onto another day!

Okay, your killing me with the schedule. But I am inspired just the same. I have no idea where my kids are at this moment and we really need to do spelling. Holly in Oregon

I'm tagging you for a meme - something you can do when you are having a brain melt down and need something to post about. :)
