I don't have any photos from our weekend in Yellowstone, but hubby has some on his site. Look at the slide show under latest photos. We had a fabulous weekend! The weather was cold and snowy, but we were in Yellowstone....so who can complain? We were thrilled just being able to drive on the roads that had been closed since last fall. We saw all sorts of critters, including close encounters with wolves and grizzlies. We chit-chatted with many nice folks and as always enjoyed interaction with the locals. We came home to about 8 inches of snow and have received another 6 inches since. All of my dry, spring like patches of earth have disappeared and I feel like I am in January all over again. My neighbor is too sick to plow (he is dying of lymphoma) and I can barely get out with the Tahoe in 4 low-so I am staying home. The wind is also drifting the snow, so I don't know what it is like down below. Hubby is in Seattle for the week, so the kids and I are keeping it on the DL. That's 'down-low' for those of you without teenagers. Books, Lego's, and a few movies are on our junket for the next few days. I have a list a mile long of things I am wanting to do before we leave for the East Coast. All of these things require sunny, warm, spring-like weather. So, I must wait. Wait. Wait. And wait. Winter here in Montana really is 6 months long. Six long months. Six months with snow on the ground-not up on the far off mountain peaks, right here in my front yard.
