Girls Day Out

Very rarely do I get a moment that is just for me.  I know it sounds selfish but I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy such moments.  Today I just didn't get a moment, I got a day-yes an entire day!

My mom and I set out early for a day of pampering, margaritas, and shopping.  The first order of the day was manicures and pedicures.  My pedicure felt sooooo nice.  The technician scrubbed and rubbed my feet and colored my toe nails with the prettiest pink color.  My manicure was equally nice.  I just enjoyed sitting in a chair, saying nothing, and knowing that I wasn't needed for anything for the next several hours.

Next we hit the Mexican restaurant where I got a chimichanga and a strawberry margarita.  Oh, come on...don't be shocked...I only had one.  And it tasted so yummy.  I really enjoyed some decent Mexican food-something I haven't been able to do since living in Montana.  Not having to share with my kids was really nice.  I got to eat my entire chimichanga and not be asked to share one bite!!!

With pretty toes and fully tummies we hit the mall.  Christopher & Banks and Macy's had everything my mom needed to get a full Paris wardrobe.  It was so much fun helping my mom find just the right outfits and shoes.  She is going to look fabulous during her 10 days in France!!!  My super cool mom also bought me a brand new pair of Clarks!  I love them and they look great with my new pink toes.  My mom laughed when I told her I had $100 feet today.

My wonderful kids watched great grandma today so my mom and I could have a peaceful day out.  DD made lunch and DS played cribbage with great grandma and I....I worried about nothing.  It was all about a girls day out!
