Yesterday, we had an arrival, of friends. The Martins minister with southern gospel music around Canada and travel in this bus. Vicki and I have known each other for about 8-9 years as homeschooling moms.

The kids have been friends all this time too. It's so wonderful to see them - which we do about once a year if we can. One year we went to Yorkton, another year we went to Saskatoon, Last year we saw them in Ontario on our trip east, and then saw them later that summer as they passed through Regina. This is their second visit here. MacKenzie and Savannah both spent some time riding the horses.

Lots of great food was consumed - chili, barbeque chicken, salad, bread, chocolate cookies, popcorn, cherries - and some spirits. I sent a care pack along with Vicki for her family - a little home cooking on a long busy trip.
We miss them already, but friendship this seasoned will always be there.
Another new arrival, those shoes I mentioned the other day.
And now, la piece de resistance, the new couches.

You know, there's another new thing. You see, Asher has started to sit, and so, he's now sitting in the little chair at the table with us at meal time, and he now gets to sit in the cart with Janney sometimes. This shot was taken at Rona on Monday, when we finally found the bathroom furniture we really like. This meant that I had to return the other vanity Stuart bought at Winners a few weeks ago, and pick up the new stuff today - but - oh, if I'd bought them on Monday or Tuesday of next week, I'd have saved over $100 because they're giving out gift cards.. sigh. Anyhow, Janney and Asher had a nice ride in the race car cart.
