Mother Mentoring

As you can see, I was a little camera happy today.. Indulge me one more time... or perhaps you'll be happier to come back tomorrow for some wordier posts.. lol

After transferring the eggs, we moved on to empting the dishrack.  Janney handed me every single item so I could put it away, and then took the cutlery tray and went to put them away herself.

Forgive the blurry photos, these were action shots.

Isaiah 28:9-13
9 Can no one be taught anything? Can no one understand the message? Must one teach barely weaned toddlers, babies just taken from the breast, 10 so that [one has to use nursery rhymes]? Tzav la-tzav, tzav la-tzav, kav la-kav, kav la-kav z'eir sham, z'eir sham [Precept by precept, precept by precept, line by line, line by line, a little here, a little there].

One step at a time Janney is learning the daily tasks of being a mother and running a household. It will take 15 years or so before she's got to do this all on her own, but every day, little chores are training her to be a dilligent worker in the home.

Why, look at what a fine little lady Miss Janney is growing up to be! She is very fortunate to have a hardworkin and, devoted mother from which to learn.

Love you!

It's good to see others Training their daughters to Keepers at Home at the earlier ages too.

I would argue that it won't take quite so long. Marissa is capable to doing the work of running a house now. But, she does not have confidence. When I am gone for 7 days, she will be doing the cooking many of those days. She has been cooking for years... but she is still stressing about it. :o(
