A New Boyfriend
Trent's boss gave us a new boyfriend for the hens. Isn't he beautiful!
He's an Araucana Rooster, missing his tail, but it'll grow back. He used to live in an enclosed pen, with some short doorways, and his tail got broken off, but now, he'll live free with my hens and make some nice fertilized eggs for me.
I have a broody hen, that means she's sitting on the nest.. expecting to hatch something, but she's not even sitting on eggs, I've taken them. Now that I have a rooster, I'll wait a few days and then choose a few and let her sit on them.. and see if she hatches any chicks. |
