A Trip To The Oat Bin

Beside my barn is a little building, painted green and white just like the barn. It's got knot holes and weather worn holes in it, but it serves it's purpose. It's our oat bin - a now mostly empty bin.

This morning I made my way through the snow drift and opened the door, and was greeted  with a flurry of little birds flying out the door over my head. I stood back to let the rest of the flock out, but some were just to timid to fly past this human, so they just fluttered around at the back wall.  As I stepped inside to fill the bucket with oats, the last few birds flew over my head.

There must be 50 or so sparrows living in there. I hope they're cozy and warm, away from the cold of this terrible winter.

What an amazing thing that would have been! To stand there and watch all of those fly over your head!

That would have been neat to see :) Your oats must be in closed containers? Would the sparrows eat them otherwise? How's everyone feeling today, I hope they are starting to get some relief. Baby M's rash is starting to disappear so that is great : )
Wishing you and your family a blessed evening,
Rosina

Wow...that must have been so beautiful. How I wish I lived in a farm and where it snowed. :o)

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. You are welcome back anytime. I love making new friends. Thank you so much for the advice too.

How long ago did you move away? and Would you mind if I borrowed your idea with the Baby Widget? That is so awesome. I love it!

More wonderful snow *grin*

Baby M's rash started on his head behind his ears then it went down his chest/stomach around his back and then all in the groin area with a couple of spots behind his knees. I was reading in my baby book about Measles and it said that it starts on the head after a high fever and there are no other signs of sickness with it. So maybe that might be it? I'm not sure but tonight it is nearly gone after just 3.5 days.
We didn't make it to the doctor because the roads were still to bad to drive safely and since he's getting better I'm not sure if we'll go at all now. What do you think? Maybe allergies still or something else?
Blessings to you and your family,
Rosina
