I am still getting amazing blood pressure readings; 114/66 one morning, 130/76 one evening a few nights ago. I've put on 10lbs in 25 weeks.. fantastic, considering my total weight gain in previous pregnancies has been 68,56, 48, 42, and 35 pounds. I also have no edema, which is swelling, at this point, where I'm pretty sure I've had it in my hands and feet in most of the other pregnancies, by now.. I'd wake up in the morning and hardly be able to walk my feet hurt so much, and I'd have to run my hands under very cold water. But this time, I have nothing!! I do have some pain in that piriformus muscle, but massage therapy is taking care of keeping that under control. I went today and she worked a long time on that muscle and one that runs down my quads.
And baby is wiggly squiggling nicely, not to much, this seems like a nice calm baby. Katherine (naturopath) said that the calcium and magnesium have a calming effect, so baby is behaving this nice calm way as a result of my healing intake.
Speaking of Katherine, she's added probiotics to my regiment. She says that filling my gut with good bacteria will transfer to the baby in these last weeks, and so the baby's gut flora will be nice and healthy at birth, which reduces the risks of baby getting colic or having food allergies.
What are you doing differently with this pregnancy to not have the problems from the past? Maybe just being wiser about what your body needs or something else?
Sombra ~ I am so glad you are doing better. I added probiotics to my regime about 6 months ago. I had hoped to decrease the number of colds/flus I got. I used to never get sick, but since my kidneys went on vacation about 10 years ago, I get everything that comes around.
I think it is working ~ I have been around sick people and my body stayed well!

I am Sombra, and these are the stories from our house. We're a Messianic family where academics often take a back seat to the work and adventure of life.
