Trent and Rourke are working together to empty the deep freeze, reorganize, prepare to take out the Hametz - the items with leavening in them that are not Kosher for Passover - and then put it all back. Trent is recording everything that's in there so I've got a list I can use.. and not have to keep shopping for things I've already got!
Asher has found the ice cream and had himself a bowl, and now it's Janney's turn.
This is just one of the jobs that needs to be done before Friday at sundown in preparation for Passover. We have the pantry to do, and the spice cupboards.. did you know that beef and chicken OXO has yeast in it, it's got to go - and that I keep in my spice cupboard!
OH, they just found the falafel! Earlier they found my filliberts. It's a HUGE deep chest freezer, I lose lots of things in there. I have two of them, but the other one is empty right now. (I have two fridges too.. don't you??) lol
You know Stuart is an Economist right, well recently he read, through his studies, that girls cost a lot in clothing, while boys cost a lot in food.. hence my two deep freezers and my two fridges.
Meanwhile, I'm washing all the winter clothing and putting them away in a big rubbermaid bucket for next year. I've found that one jacket which has hardly been warn has a seam completely undone under the arm and body! So- I'm sewing.
Oh, Janney found a freezie pop.
Now I have to go find out if Basa fish is Kosher or not. I think it's a catfish, which makes it not Kosher.. which means the dogs will have a nice treat. Yep, it's a catfish - the dogs will be happy.
I may not have chickens to deal with, but I go on retreat on Friday and Saturday, come home and help prepare a Seder for 150 people. So many matzah balls! Entertain my sister the 20th to the 23rd Than we have a Bible Study luncheon the 23rd, Last Bible Study on the 30th (which is my sister Carolyn's birthday) Pre-op on the first (Happy Anniversary) My birthday on the third and surgery on the seventh.
Hopefully I will be home by the 10th and Mother's day is the 11th. Which will probably be the day my sister Chris returns for a week because she is a nurse and is determined to take care of me. So .... Mother's Day is Sunday the 11th both in America and in Canada. I think you will deserve a rest by then.
