How do you get it all done when you were planning on X, but Y happened and before you can deal with Y, you have to do Z... meanwhile X is still waiting around to be done. SIGH!
Months ago before I got HUGE, I went downstairs to do some organizing, in preparation for moving things out of the garage this spring, but Stuart didn't want me dealing with it right then, as he couldn't make any decisions at that time, he was too busy (we have umpteen old computers in the basement that I wanted to get rid of).. Anyhow, as a result, things were left on the basement floor that should have been up of the ground because we all know basements flood in spring.
Well my basement didn't flood with runoff, it flooded with sewage, and one of the things that was on the ground was a bag full of my very expensive cloth diapers - diapers which I'll need in a few months. I am trying to salvage them, but I suspect they're headed for the dump. So while I had planned on getting the garage and barn ready - ready for renovations and ready for chickens - Instead what I need to do is go buy a new washing machine because my old one died today - and those diapers NEED SOME HEAVY DUTY CLEANING!
So I'm looking at spending the day in the city tomorrow, hopefully my friend will be able to take care of my 3 youngest while my 2 oldest and I shop for a new washer. Of course I want a good machine, but don't want to pay through the nose. I've been researching online as to WHAT makes for a good machine - and which brands and models are going to satisfy my needs - now I just need to find a retailer who will give me the one I want, at a price I want, with the service I want. We have a Sears liquidation store - Please God, let them have the one I want dented or scratched!! I don't care what colour it is, but I do care if it's going to break down easily - I don't want any plastic parts!!!
I hate it when that happens.
I do hope you find what you are looking for, God loves to givegood gifts to Hischildren. Sounds like the deliverence you need this week is from your basement. You didn't say if your old computers are working. If they are working you can donate them to a senior center. They are good learning tools for seniors. And most place will come and get them. You can also contact your local tech repair guy , he can guy them for parts, and with gold at $1000 an ounce, you would be surprised at the amount of gold inside a computer. (Like you need more to do...hee hee)
We had a wonderful Seder too. It was the first time I did not cook. Boy was that weird. But oh how proud I was to see that all I taught my daughter and granddaughters was going to continue even when I am no longer here! Perfect Matzoh balls! Yes!!!
