We got a call yesterday from the apiary, they want both oldest boys to come work this summer. So, in effort to get a last ditch push on before Monday to get some academics done, I had the boys do some school. Janney did some too.
Myles day looked like this.
Trent's day looked like this - Trig Time.
And Janney had a little help from Rourke to make her L's and K's. Janney and I worked on Before We Read and Learning Through Sounds too.
Rourke did some Math and Hebrew too, but I wasn't watching with the camera. Last night I did some Hebrew homework, which Rourke corrected for me. Good to know he's ahead of me in his Hebrew - that way when Trent is gone this summer, Rourke can keep me moving through my Hebrew studies.
So Monday my two oldest become someone elses hard workers. There's only enough work for one person between May and June, but in July - September, they'll both have full time work. So they're going to share the single person job. They'll have to clean out bee hive boxes and clean out the honey extracting room. The winter jackets haven't even been taken off the hives yet - it's been so cold. Both boys will take a week off in July to go to camp - they'll have to work extra hard the week before - maybe doing over time, and then work extra hard when they come back. That's when the first load of honey will be taken from the bees, but I want them to still have some summer fun - a week off to have fun at camp - and 5 months to work.

I am Sombra, and these are the stories from our house. We're a Messianic family where academics often take a back seat to the work and adventure of life.
