NAW.. Couldn't be. My husband leaves for Hawaii, I'm almost 37 weeks pregnant.. so NOTHING would go wrong - right?
Ya.. Ya Right!
So, I did two loads of laundry, and filled the swimming pool (a toddler puddle pool) and filled the horse water trough, and then went to go do a third load of laundry, but the machine wasn't working. HELLO? Brand new washing machine - it can't be broken. So I thought, what's going on? I tried the kitchen sink tap -
NO WATER!
I called out to Trent and I ran downstairs. NO WATER in the cistern. I flipped on the pump from the dugout, fortunately water started moving from the dugout to the cistern, but I knew there was not going to be enough water in the dugout, so I sent Trent to get his truck and load the water tank onto it, and go for water. Now technically it's not legal for him to do this, he doesn't have a driver's license yet - I'm supposed to go with him, but I just couldn't cope with several trips to the water tower, not to mention.. I have other children at home that need taking care of. It's all back roads, so they'll be fine.
So I sent Trent and Myles. They did 3 loads before dinner, and now Trent and Rourke have gone for a 4th load.
I'm so glad I have my older boys to take care of me.
How wonderful that your boys are old enough to be such wonderful helps to you while your husband is away! Will that solve the problem or is it that just a temporary fix? I was catching up on some of your posts and I'm so happy for you that your pregnancy is going so well and your blood pressure has been great! What a blessing :) Sorry it's been so long since I've been over for a visit, but I've been thinking of you from afar :)
Sweet dreams,
