Still Pregnant
I've had an e-mail or two asking, so.. just so you all know, I'm still pregnant, and baby is kicking up a storm at the moment, so I don't anticipate labour soon.
And I was also asked about my BP. Well, that story isn't so good. I'm taking the Methyldopa - at about half the total amount I know I can take.I've been slowly increasing it since 38 weeks hoping to bring down the BP readings, but, alas, they still hover in the high (systolic) 150's, low 160's.. sometimes as low as high 140's. The good thing is that my diastolics are still on the low end. When the reading is in the 160's, the diastolic is still in the mid 90's... compared with over 100. The farther apart the Systolic and Diastolic readings are, the better, it means my heart is recovering well. I do have more room to increase the Methyldopa, but I haven't seen any improvement at all since starting the Methyldopa, so I'm hesitant to take MORE.. because More doesn't seem to be giving me the results I'm looking for. Besides, I only have a few days left.
And another thing.. my face began to swell this week, my hands and face are a little puffy. BUT what is amazing is that I got this far without the puff!
Thanks for checking in on me. I need a nap. Church was long today.. about an hour longer than usual, so I'm uber tired.
