Thems Boots Were Made For Walking

Posted in Elias
Oh Elias, those are some big boots, and some wonderful boots to follow the footsteps of..

Raising a large family seems overwhelming to some people, how could one mother tend to so many needs. The beauty of a large family is that one mother doesn't tend to ALL the needs. The mother of a large family is a director, an orchestrator, a team coach.  Sure there are some things only I can tend to, but so many things I can delegate.

One of the wonderful outcomes of delegating is that mentoring happens.  I showed you a few days ago a video of the little ones helping with the laundry. That's a result of me delegating, and the boys mentoring.

One day Elias too will participate in chores.  For now, he's got some big boots to fill.

So cute! When Emmeline was a toddler she loved to wear other people's shoes. Today I can't get her to wear shoes--go figure! Indeed, Elias has good footsteps to follow throughout his days.

Love,
Susan

Oh, I love these photos. I was really impressed with how your older kids helped with the younger ones. You have done a good job building character in your big boys ~
