Elias on my back

Lisa Asked

I have a question for you~ when you are pictured with Elias on your back what style of carrier are you wearing?

I have two carriers - home made - in which I carry Elias on my back for housekeeping and yard work and long errands.  This type of carrier is like a moby wrap or other long pieces of fabric in which you can wrap baby up in a number of different ways.  My two carriers are home made, pieces of fabric bought at 2.5 meters long, cut in half, hemmed and sewn together lengthwise.  '

Then I wrap in him a style called Himalayan Ruck Sack.

One is made of a thin cotton, .. with no stretch.

The other is made with a thicker cotton .. almost a twill, but not quite, and it has a little stretch across the width.

It seems the commercial ones are made of microfiber.. but they seem to give a bit too much stretch for my liking

Oh that was so cool Sombra!! I'm so glad you shared that. I've always wondered how those cloth carriers worked :)
