Blogging For Jennifer - Kitchen Countertop

Argh.. so frustrated with firefox crashing..

here's the pic for now, maybe I'll come back and tell you about it later.

OK, I'm back.  I was saying that the first day Stuart went to install the stainless steel sink and tap, he put them up on the counter and I balked.. I asked him to hold of and we'd go get the black sink with the oiled bronze tap and see how it looked, and install the one I liked best. My good man agreed to do that.. and now it's in.  The dishwasher is  installed too.  And now he's putting on the edge and back splash. The only thing missing on this side of the kitchen is the grout.

Now the other thing I was sharing before Firefox crashed, was that when I was 10, my parents bought a house with a PINK kitchen. The first thing they did was repaint that kitchen, cream cupboard doors with chocolate brown cabinets.  Then they put up a nice tile between the countertop and the cupboards that looked like cracked oatmeal cookies.  But for the 9 years I lived there, every time I did the dishes or cooked at the stove, I got to look at the lines of morter and the little + shaped tile spacers, because those tiles NEVER GOT GROUT.  If Stuart were to fail to do that small detail, I would get it done, I do not care to look at these slate tiles without grout between them!

One word: GORGEOUS!

I love the colors, the cabinets, the countertops, the light fixture, the sink and faucet--everything!

Love,

The color scheme for your kitchen IS gorgeous!
My parents bought a house with pink cabinets and walls too! I think way back it was really the "in" thing to have a pink kitchen? Our cabinets had about 3 layers of pink, 1 of mint green and at least one or two other colors. Needless to say with all that paint we decided to strip them so we'd get the original form of the cabinet. Lol! Grouting goes fast! I haven't done it but the guy who laid tile here didn't take that long with it. If that's any encouragement to you guys. :)
