More of Him - Less of Me

• Mar. 29, 2008 - Football!!

Tomorrow is the opening day and game for our new indoor football team! It's rather like arena football and guess what? Our family has been invited by my Pastor and his wife to go to the game!! To say I'm thrilled is a huge understatement! Yes, it's true. I love football. I love a lot of sports - hockey, NASCAR, and of course, my beloved Chicago Cubs. My oldest son has gotten to go to the local hockey games with the Pastor, but this time he had tickets for everyone! Yipee!! I'm pretty sure my Pastor told me that we have one of the team members coming to our church, so that's pretty cool, too!

It's been another busy week here. We had to get a new freezer, which arrived on Tuesday while I was at my bible study. It's really big! I didn't realize it until I saw it in my house. It didn't look that big at Sears!

It's okay, though, because there's plenty of room for it and the great thing is it's frost free!! Oh - I just got so tired of my other freezer because I had to defrost it all the time and if I didn't do it right away, the freezer burn would ruin my food. It was also really unorganized because it was so small. This new freezer is completely organized and I'm going to totally impress you by telling you that I typed up a list of what is in my freezer, by category, so I know what I have! Are you properly impressed?!! I will just mark things off as I use them and add them as I need to. It's just wonderful!! My hubby was in such shock at my organization, he was speechless. I am still able to totally amaze him! LOL

We had a prayer night at church this past Wednesday night. It's something we're going to do every week. I must tell you, it was one of the most awesome things I've ever been involved with. The Spirit of God was so in that place and I came away from it totally blessed. It was a full hour of praying God's Word and we also sang a praise song at the beginning of the prayer and at the end. I'm so excited about this and I know it's going to bless our church and everyone involved.

I hope you enjoy the football. I'm not real big on football, but I'd enjoy the Nascar. I'm a big Nascar fan!
