Pinching Pennies!
As many of you know, my hubby is in Real Estate. Trust me when I tell you that things around here are pretty tight. We are pinching pennies wherever we can and I'm wanting to help my hubby with more than just working in our home office. I want to take the pressure off him as much as I can, so. . .
I've decided to start little shop on my website. I'm going to offer my organizer that I've designed (I use it every day and it works!), my beaded bible bookmarks, my crocheted baby items and other fun things that I make. I don't know how soon I'll have this up and running, but as soon as possible and I'll be announcing it here. I have been wanting to do this for a long time - my family and friends are always encouraging me to do this - and I'm going to do it! I'm excited but also a little scared. I guess that's the way it is with any new endeavor!
My Mother's Day was stupendous. We didn't really do anything and that was so lovely! My hubby cut me flowers from the garden and put them by my bedside so when I woke up, there they were. Wasn't that so sweet? He also wrote me a two page love letter. Now I ask you - what could be better than that. My youngest son made me a card and wrote such sweet things, it made me cry. My oldest son had a gift card for me from the local book/audio/video store. Fantastic! I ask you - could a woman be more blessed than me? I just don't think so. At church, we received a book and that was so nice, too. Just a lovely day all the way around.
I made wheat bread today, but was disappointed in the fact that it really didn't rise the way it should have. My boys called it "midget bread". LOL I think I'm going to add white flour to my recipe next time with the idea of giving the wheat flour more lightness so it will raise better. This bread is delicious, but very heavy. It will be good for toast in the morning with an egg on it, though. Not so good for sandwiches, however. More experimentation is in order!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!
God bless you ~ Julie |

Thank you for your sweet words. I pray that the Lord blesses you abundantly my SSiC. May you not be left in need but see the ways the Lord DOES provide. Even from places you don't expect.
Blessings and ((HUGS)) my SSiC
