Do I need both SWR DVD's? (New Releases!!)

Why buy two SWR Training DVD’s

Why buy two SWR Training DVD’s?

Some people have asked me if it is necessary to purchase both of the SWR Training DVD’s that have just been released.

Let me explain why I think you would benefit greatly from purchasing and viewing both DVD's!

The Modified TRH Training Video DVD reformat put together by Liz FitzGerald has Wanda Sanseri teaching a group of students and is like having Wanda come into your home and give you a private SWR lesson!  You can’t go wrong while learning Spell to Write and Read from the author!  I purchased the original TRH Training Video three years ago when I was first learning SWR.  I watched it nearly every day for about 3 months in 20 minute snatches while I was nursing my baby.  This gave me the ability and confidence to successfully teach my children with SWR.  I still watch this TRH Training Video every so often for review and to make sure I am teaching SWR properly.  Wanda covers some material in the Modified TRH Training Video that I do not cover in my You CAN Do It DVD such as how to dictate the Consonant Vowel Reference Page and the Silent Final E Page and a some other key concepts.  You will also get the advantage of seeing a lesson with Liz FitzGerald, Endorsed SWR Trainer, teaching her son from List D WISE Guide.  She demonstrates giving a phonogram quiz, reviewing Spelling Rule cards, and doing a spelling dictation using finger grams or finger spelling.   Please note:  I am copying from the notes Liz FitzGerald wrote for this Modified TRH Training Video: “The Modified TRH Training Video DVD is an authorized reproduction of a 10-year-old VHS video.  Please be aware that some quality has been lost with time, but this is not significant.”

I cover some material in my You CAN Do IT DVD that is not in the Modified TRH DVD.  I show how to teach handwriting to a three and five year old child using large motor, with filming shots on my front sidewalk, in my kitchen, and back yard sandbox!  You will get to see my five-year-old son writing beautiful cursive using the dialogue and style of writing in Cursive First (by Liz FitzGerald.)  I show games to learn the phonograms, and instructions in the dictation process using finger spelling/fingergrams for both one syllable and multi-syllable words. You will see me teaching my children from ages three to nine years old at our kitchen table where we do most of our school.  I show how to both give and gently correct a phonogram quiz, how to review the Consonant-Vowel Reference Page, writing a story from List D WISE words on Blank Top Writing Paper, and more!  The filming is close and personal where you can clearly see what I am writing and what my children are writing.  You CAN Do It is “fresh from the camera” and the sound and film quality is excellent!

I think both of the DVD’s compliment each other and fill an important role in helping a teacher /mom teach to the fullest with Spell to Write and Read.

Truly,

Hello,
Thank you for your descriptions of the videos. I think, however, that you meant to say that the two videos "complement" each other.
