Prayer for a Tranquil and Quiet LifeI'm thankful for great scriptue that my woodshed buddies are posting in encouragment. Here's one to think about. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 says: First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, in order that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. I'm encouraged that conservative Christians everywhere are recommiting to pray for our country. Perhaps we have been lazy in praying for our country over these past few years. I pray that my family and I may live a tranquil and quiet life under Barack Obama. I pray that God will do His perfect will in the life of our country and world, and that He will reveal that will to us so that we won't be surprised or unprepared.
