Thoughtful Motherhood

Hard Times Coming

This article is so good, and I want every one of my blog visitors to read it. I would copy and paste the article, but that is against copyright laws. So, please click on this link and read what Michael Pearl has to say about what is facing America and Christians.

Here's a little snippet:

For believers, there are bad times and then there are BAD times. A recession is not a bad time; it is an inconvenience.

Recession? Probably. We’ll get through it. DEPRESSION? Could be. But it will be good for the character of the church. Or Worse? Yes, something worse is coming.

A truly BAD time for us believers is when the state becomes hostile toward the Christian family and denies us the liberties to rear our children in a godly manner. That’s a BAD time. A BAD time is when the Department of Education forcibly assumes the role of overseeing the curriculum of homeschoolers, policing what parents teach their children in private. A BAD time is when the church is policed as to what it can say, the Thought Police arresting preachers for declaring the whole counsel of God regarding sin and righteousness. In Europe, preachers have been arrested for preaching that sodomy is a depravity contrary to nature. A BAD time is when ministers are silenced on pain of arrest for the crime of causing mental harm and guilt to children. A BAD time is when the State forbids parents from teaching their children the Word of God and encourages children to tattle on their parents as they did under the Communist rule during the fifties and sixties.

Go read the rest of the article.

Read the article, and consider that The UN's Treaty on the Rights of the Child has been ratified by all UN countries except for Somalia and the United States. Also be aware that our president-elect Barack Obama has stated here that  "It is embarrassing to find ourselves in the company of Somalia, a lawless land." If Obama sends this treaty to congress to be ratifed and it is, parents will have no rights in regard to their children. I do believe, like Michael Pearl said in the first article, that we are going to see some horrible things, reminiscent of Nazi Germany, happen in the next 10 to 20 years.

We need to prepare our families for times like this. We need to prepare our children.

Yes

Thanks for the post. It will happen. We need to be praying. Please come see my new post on the doll that I almost bought on Friday that says, Islam is the light. I almost got tricked into thinking this was a cute little doll that just says mama.

Well, if so many countless christian families didn't physically abuse, mentally abuse and rape so man children the government wouldn't have to oversee them. In my opinion fundies and christians alike need big brother to protect the children because god knows many of those children need it. And, I don't think enough intervention is happening anyway!

Besides, why are you so desperate to have your curriculum private unless you want to hide something? I think if for once you stepped outside yourself and viewed your way of thinking you might find it a little disturbing too.

Thanks for your post

I've read about this treaty...and I appreciate you bringing it to the blogging world. And yes, I truly believe about prepping and preparing our children. Prayer is crucial....and our children need to pray...and learn to pray...and be in a culture of prayer.

Blessings,

Rachel
