Thoughtful Motherhood

Potty Training

We are potty training the two two-year-olds today. The younger just turned two and the older will be three at the end of the month. The older has been somewhat potty-trained. It was shortly after the baby was born, and he continued having accidents for a few weeks, so I just put him back in a diaper. I'm sure his progress has been hampered to some degree.

I'm not sure if the younger two year old is ready to be potty trained. He always asks to go to the potty, like his big brothers. The four year old has been potty trained for over a year, but has been having nighttime accidents. I feel like we've been swimming in pee-pee sheets lately. Plus, when he pees all over the toilet, so I have to retrain him too. If you think of it, pray for us today.

Pray that you don't have to watch anymore pee sheets? ARE YOU SERIOUS?

Grow some common sense. I'll be praying for the crisis in Congo. I'll be praying the slayings stop, the rapings stop and that the orphans who's parents have been murdered find peace.

I'll be praying that the violence and the death in the gaza strip stops. I'll be praying that young girls aren't raped and treated like science projects.

So no, I will not be praying for YOU whatsoever.

Oh yes, because she definitely said to STOP praying for all those things and INSTEAD pray for her laundry situation. I almost missed where she blogged about the UN-importance of other global issues while living her day to day life, raising these beautiful children God has given her. Wow! Thanks for pointing that out.....whew.....I almost prayed.....
(end immense sarcasm)

Prayer and petition

Scarolina,
While I am sure that you feel so proud of yourself for your selfless response. Let's try and understand something. I can't seem to find the paperwork that says you get to decide who and what is deserving of prayer? But just to be fair, I will take your advice and pray specifically and only for the items that you have listed. I will NOT pray that you have a peaceful day or that you get the time you need to sit down and pray for what you feel is the only crisis in the world deserving of prayer. By the way, if you accidentally stub your toe, hit your funny bone or any other daily accident (no I am not praying for that, it would not be important), please don't exclaim "oh my God" or "Jesus", lest you be thought of as someone who prays for things that seem trivial.

PS…Just to be serious, I am praying for you.
