I am wondering what is behind all of this strange marketing. I went into Target and saw children's books in almost a worship like package of Obama. It was creepy. Your information about the baseball cards is even more creepy. What do you think the purpose of this is since he has already won presidency, why the marketing (?).

Idols

Yeah, I've seen all over the place that this is Historic. Even on homeschooling blogs. Every headline article is overwhelmingly positive. And, there is mass marketing of him like a superhero. Has there ever been this kind of "history" placed on any other president. How can anyone even say he's made history - or that he's some great guy when it's day one, or five, or ten of his presidency. I've just been thinking lately a lot about how there is so much idolism in our society. We even make the name of a tv show out of it - and make it acceptable to Christians and non-believers alike. That idolism of actors, then of this leader only leads to the empty fruit that the idol is full of - empty words, empty promises without substance.
