Seeker Sensitive ChurchesDo you think that the leadership of most modern churches sat down in a meeting and said "Let's become a seeker-sensitive church?" Probably not. Its just an unfortunate byproduct of the way churches were ran during the last generation. Everyone was taught to believe that if you could just bring your unsaved friend to church, that they would be saved.Church became a place for the unsaved rather than a meeting of believers. Believers began to rely on the pastor and other "professional" christians to do the evangelizing, rather than doing it themselves. Slowly, the church became filled with unbelievers who were only pretending to "believe" or worse, believed they were saved because they said a prayer years ago. When the church was filled with unrepentant people, the church atmosphere began changing to fit the people, rather than the gospel. Music or style of preaching is just a preference, but when unbelievers or stunted believers make up the majority of the church, the outcome can't possibly be good. 8:33 PM - Mar. 18, 2009 - post comment
