Princess of the Mountain

• Apr. 29, 2009 - A poem by Louisa M. Alcott

" I shine," says the sun,

" To give the world light,"

" I glimmer," adds the moon,

" To beautify the night."

" I ripple," says the brook,

" I whisper," sighs the breeze,

" I patter," laughs the rain,

" We rustle," call the trees,

" We dance," nod the flowers,

" I twinkle," shines the star,

" We sing," chant the birds,

" How happy we all are!"

" I smile," cries the child,

Gentle, good & gay;

The sweetest thing of all,

The sunshine of each day.

This was my typing for today and my handwriting. I also had to memmorize this poem. Hope all who read this will / woud like it.

MountainPrincess.

Hi,
What a pretty poem. Did you have to memorize it for school?

About Me

This is my journal of life in the high mountains and other places. I am an 11 year old girl, who is the oldest in my family. I love to play outside, read, draw, and write stories. We live in the beautiful mountains of Colorado, where the snow gets really deep.
