Never having learned computer science in a formal manner, I never would have thought about it as a subject to teach my kids in our homeschool. I was surprised and pleased to see that a simple and straightforward resource exists to do just that. I received an ebook, Let’s Make A Webpage by Motherboard books to use and review with my kids. Not only did my daughter, who is 10, learn how to make a webpage; but, also, it taught me a lot, too! I have done some basic html and design on my blog, but this was very helpful in explaining systematically how to do it. (My attempts have all been very haphazard and random based on what I needed to put on my blog.)
Motherboard Books also carries a more complete basic computer science course to use in your homeschool with older students. You can check it out at http://www.motherboardbooks.com.
We will consult this ebook as a resource quite often in working with web pages and blogs! Thank you to TOS and Motherboard books for this review opportunity. Check out what other Crew members had to say at the Homeschool Crew blog.
