I have always loved Chicago; it is nice to be so close and yet not too close. There is so much to do there! I have been to all of the major museums except one and that is the shedd aquarium. It is 27.50 for adults! and they charge for the children...so for our family, it would cost too much money, thus, we have never gone to teh aquarium. BUT! My mil sent me this in an email today...what a great opportunity! Next week is free, i believe, for most museums including the Shedd aquarium! Here is a list, if anyone near chicago is interested. It is so worth it, especially if it is free!

Brookfield Zoo
Free general admission is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January, February, October, November, and December. Additionally, Saturdays and Sundays are free in January and February.
Adler Planetarium
Museum admission is free on the following days in 2007: Sept. 10, 17 & 24; Oct 8-12; every Mon & Tues in Oct. – Oct. 1, 2, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 20; every Mon & Tues in Nov – Nov. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
Field Museum
