May. 15, 2006 - We brought it with us!

Well we made it to Ohio! and it seems we hooked onto the local weather pattern and brought it with us. (no wonder the tranny went out in Montana.)

  The real reason that Ohio is having an unnatural rainy May is that at the last moment I talked my Dd15 out of bringing her coat telling her the weather was going to be in the 80's. and we all brought "new" shorts.

  Those of you in Western WA, I expect applause and maybe a key to a city or something for sweeping out the rain and allowing your beautiful 80 degree weather(obviously displaced from Ohio)

we ended up skipping all the historical sites & such because of the transmission trouble, so Dh plans to take a few extra days to get home and maybe even stopping at a hotel for a night or two. that way we can still see Mt Rushmore and yellowstone, & maybe a dino museum.

  the good news is that I've yet to be homesick for "my mountain" (Rainier) because we never see it on rainy days anyway.  I'm not sure where I'll rest my eyes when the rain clears up.
