Fall Break

We have had a great fall break. I have to admit it has lingered a little longer than I intended, but it has been soooo beautiful outside, I want to do SOMETHING, something other than looking at school books.  Wehave been able to do a lot of our schoolwork  outside on the porch tables and rocking chairs. That is fun. For my co-op class this week I taught a lesson on "The Frost is on the Punkin" by James WhitcombRiley. Itwas great. Of course I probably rambled to long about Indiana dialect but it was nice to be able to talk about something I was good at!! Ha HA. Our lesson was a lot about Indiana since that is where the poem takes place. A great reminder of the beautiful state we live in.

Next week we have a field trip planned to the John Hay center in Salem on Friday and a "Moms Night Out "  hosted by Merri Ann on Monday. There is a neat family friendly corn maze, and a petting zoo, punkin patch ect.., over in the Salem area. I would love to hit that too.. I know , I know , I've got to wrap up this fall break and get back to work  : (

Went out to dinner tonight with Anthony to Denny's in French Lick. It's fun to go somewhere different sometimes. I ordered all junk food, and it was GREAT!!!  Life is GOOD : )     <>< Robin

Wrapping up the Summer.

Well, here we are again on the edge of a new school year. I love waithing until September to start school.  The air is cooler, the days are shorter, the kids are getting bored and school supplies are on sale : )

It has been a good summer.  It has been a busy summer. VBS (the best ever... you ROCK Miss Crystal!!) , Millie joined the rodeo( long hot saturdays ) , 4 summer camps ( Anthony preached the Sr. high camp), and 4-H fair( 2 blue ribbon and a purple champion for Eliza and her rabbit, A blue Ribbon for Millie in english jumping).  Its been fun but I am glad things are winding down. I am ready to get back to some routine and rythym ( as much as possible with 5 kids : )
