Apr. 3, 2006 - Monday

Monday tends to be shorter than other days... we seem to get a sluggish start after the weekend, I guess.  Daylight saving REALLY didn't help this week.

Anyway ~ I read the Johnny Tremain part today where he has the accident and loses the use of his hand and basically his entire future that he had planned.  We had an interesting discussion about how, although Dove was at fault for his own actions, and had not done the right thing, Johnny was still responsible for making the choices that led up to his accident.  No one made him work on Sunday, no one made him skip steps (like cleaning up the melted was that he later slipped on) etc. 

We discussed what we thought Johnny would do with himself now, whether he would be bitter and just let himself give up, or if he might find some new direction and ambition in his life. 

The kids all did independant subjects and we had lunch, writing, and read Joseph with discussions...

Tonight is ballet and scouts... and I have to do the taking and hauling the kids from place to place.  Ugh.  I hate Monday nights.  Not fun.

At any rate... I need to go fix supper so the kids can eat before we leave.
