Apr. 18, 2006 - Jaedin's Praying Mantis Event

Well. although we generally don't have much school on Tuesday morning (because of Co-op in the afternoon), the kids had a big science morning before Dh and I were even out of bed.

Yesterday Jaedin (9) found an egg sack and put it in his shadow box.  This morning he awoke to fins TONS of baby praying mantis' in the box!  He watched them hatching, then start walking around.... so he put them in his terrarium.  Now he has... I don't know how many Dozens and dozens I believe!  They are crawling all over the dirt and the walls, visiting the water "pond" he has in there for his snakes that he and Kainan found yesterday. 

This is definitely my little scientist boy!
