Sep. 29, 2005 - SICK

I was a greeter at our church for the women's conference last weekend... and ended up with a horrible head cold in the process.

Anyway, we've been sluggishly eeking out a school exsistence this week... while mommy is in and out of coherent mode.  Thankfully the library hold shelf had the science videos I had reserved, and the kids have math on the computer... we still did Bible each day, reading and copywork ~ although some days I was too sick to even stay awake until they were done.

At any rate, I'm feeling a bit more coherent and awake today, but that could be partly because I finally caved and took some dayquil type stuff.  My throat is still really swollen ~ to the point that even my ears feel clogged.

The grapefruit seed extract (painfully) nixed the sinus infection I felt coming on ~ but I'm at a loss as to what to do about the throat.  This STINKS!!  I am supposed to go in for an audition tomorrow at noon to sing for a part in the Christmas musical... which  would dearly love to do ~ a dream thing for me ~ and my throat is all icky.   will be better tomorrow....

Anyway ~ that is my reasoning for my lax-ness in posting this week.  All of my minimal energy was taken trying to get across some sort of learning.  We'll start back up full force next week with our next area of body study, vocabulary, "real" math... and a *new* Shakespeare play... maybe Comedy of Errors, I haven't looked deep enough yet.

Oh, and the kids all finished their reading, both on Helen Keller AND their own "literature" ~ ACK!  Now we need to hunt down their next choices...
