Oct. 13, 2005 - Our Day

I am feeling cranky today. 

Anyway ~ we started school, did Bible (the kds are memorizing 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 for our human body unit study) and then the kids went to do their reading and then copywork while Abyni helped me mix up some sugar cookie batter for our field trip thing tomorrow. 

We're going to go to a HS support thing and decorate boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  Then we'll do some cookie decorating and stuff... take our boxes home and fill them to be sent off to needy children.

Then we had lunch, chores (I got caught up on MORE laundry ~ packing away most of the summer stuff, getting out some winter, and washing everything in between) and recess.  The weather is gorgeous.  The older three went out to shoot hoops, Paris and Abyni went to play in the back yard with our new puppy, "Kitty."  I sat inside looking up info on the net about training puppies and then getting our new printer set up so I could print it off.  That seemed to take FOREVER.

Anyway, back to school time.  We did Shakespeare ~ "A Winter's Tale" and I read from CHarles Lamb's version, as well as another version.  They both took on quite a different perspective.  We discussed this and then moved on to spelling.  THe boys just have atrocious spelling.  Kainan can't seem to get even the basics down.  I don't know what to do with him.  I realy need to find some CDrom games on spelling, as he loooooves those.

We then did pet-care time, type to learn... and whatever else there was.  I'm feeling SO tired today.
