Oct. 21, 2005 - Today... after the party
Okay, not a typical "party" ~ but with K, A & P gone to game night, Jaedin and Sprite here with 20+ girlsfor art night... and people STILL here until 10:30 or so... I was pretty wound and didn't get to sleep until 1:30 ~ even though everyone else was only up til 11.
Anyway ~ We had a slightly late start today, and Paris needed a nap part way through. She had a date with Daddy with the HS group to go bowling tonight, so when it became apparent that she was reeeeally tired at 3:00, she got to go rest and promptly crashed:)
Anyway ~ we did spelling tests today (with the "ie" "ei" words) and the kids all got 100% ~ well, Paris missed one, but when I told her one problem was wrong on the page, she found it herself and fixed it.
We made some magnetic Greek puzzles for the side of our filing cabinet ~ which Abyni loves to play with...
I printed off a full page copy of our memory verse and cut them into smaller word groups and had the kids do them as a puzzle type thing and glue them onto a piece of construction paper.
We did the other typical subjects ~ and the kids all experimented with watercolors that were still out from our Art night last night.
We had a good but somewhat slow day... I think everyone was just too exhausted to really get too ambitious today.
We had one kids show up tonight for game night ~ his mom had the WRONG DAY! Ack! She felt so bad and left. When Sprite came to tell me that they had left, I quickly called her on her cell and told her to go ahead and let her son come over if he wanted. I had two boys for him to play games with. So he's here playing Sorry Card Revenge with Kainan and Jaedin. They're having a little mini game night. I even let them have a cup of soda and popcorn!:)
Anyway ~ fighting off the blah's here... hoping my Phyto Proz kicks in quickly and I'm not feeling in such a funk by Monday...
I can't wait until we're finished with the Human Body topic and can do some fun history topic. I can't remember what topic we're doing next actually, I have had a complete brain shut down.
G'day
