Oct. 26, 2005 - "Nice" day... and sewing
The kids are outside having a "nice weather day" (since we don't have off for "snow days" after a stint of housefever due to chily weather, we have "nice days" instead:) They are out there building a fort out of grass clippings. Kainan will probably need allergy meds later, but they have been having a blast for the last hour and a half!
Except for Abyni who just came in, and is sitting in the reading corner reading Dr. Seuss' ABC book:) I love that book. I can help her without even looking as I've had that book memorized for years!
We took Paris this morning and got her Brownie's vest and Council T-shirt:) Awwww.... she is so cute! I found her the cullottes at a garage sale, and there was a beanie there, but she looked at me like I was NUTS when I asked if she wanted it:) Anyway, I also found her a teddy bear dressed in a brownie uniform at the same garage sale! At the store today they had a lot of those "Klutz" craft/activity kits that both she and Sprite love.
Paris is helping sew up a vest for Abyni (for her birthday), and all the kids picked out patches at Hobby Lobby for something that she has done/learned to do this year... and picked out another patch of something that she can earn later! Abyni is feeling quite left out in the patch earning circles!! Not for long...
Also ~ Abyni had a warm pair of brightly colored striped tights that I got at a close out store that she LOVED. Well, one of the kids spilled bleach in the laundry room, and guess what got ruined?? Now I have GOT to find some more of those for her birthday.
Anyway, back to sewing!
