Dec. 6, 2005 - Busyness takes over the day.

After getting a $Huge final bill from the electric company (don't know how I missed that coming... pure ignorance on my part ~ that's what I get for not having utility bills of ralmost three years!) and having a higher house payment... AND Dh's job being so hard on him (no sick leave, working in the bad weather, no benefits whatsoever, mostly LONG hours, seasonal work available, etc.) we are really hoping and praying for a better job for him. More stability would be really nice... rather than never knowing if our paycheck is going to be one extreme or the other... but hard to find these days.

In talking to him about it, the job he had that was most fulfilling was working for Motorola in Iowa ~ where he worked up to supervisor in a year. He liked doing the supervisor role, even though he wasn't really compensated for the amount of work he did, he enjoyed the job. At any rate, he is really tired of working outside, driving all over creation and dealing with the whole thing of working as a self contractor for other companies.

School is pretty much blown today. I'm having extra kids over for the afternoon (and gymnastics for 4 of them)... so after we did Bible time, we went and ran our errands this morning... etc. I did get some old time radio Christmas shows to listen to from the library... and we will be doing our Mega Math this evening with story time and such. Whew.  We'll have art with Kerra and Joshua, and listen to our audio book Christmas story for literature.

Oh ~ and the person who was going to help out with the Party on Friday and organize the Hot Wheels activities isn't going to be able to make it.  Now i need to find someone to do that.

I am looking forward to having a candy making party next Thursday ~ I'm hoping some of my friends can make it.  Candy making has always been such a fun time!  That will beour last group activity until after Christmas.

And my mom is really depressed right now ~ I feel so bad being so far away! I wish she could just move here.
