Jan. 2, 2006 - I've done it!

Almost, anyway.  I got almost my entire list done... except the girls room still needs some cleaning and vacuuming (but I did get the things hung up) and the big tree needs another layer of paper mache.

I am sick of paper mache and I hate doing it myself.  It was so much more fun when mom was here to do it with me.  I'm going to make Dh do a layer with me tonight so I have someone to talk to while I do it:)

I got the front room and hall swept and vac'ed, but now there is a big pile of stuff in the kitchen that needs to be taken care of.

As far as school, I thought we'd do a partial day today... but Kainan kept falling asleep.  He woke up last night with a horrible dream and was up for a very long time AND was still at the point of tears this morning when I asked him about it again.  He is still getting over the crud I think, and just was desperately in need of some sleep.  So, I sent him and Jaedin (who was also feeling overly tired) upstairs to listen to their G.A. Henty audio book for some literature time, and the girls stayed downstairs and did reading, typing, and copywork in the form of thank you notes to one of their grandma's for the Christmas gifts.

At any rate, thanks to sleepy children, I got a lot mroe accomplished than I thought I would, and I'm much more ready to start the school day tomorrow, since I won't be continually distracted by all the mess.

That's all for now.  I'm going to try and see if I can get the photos I took of the house to upload (again) without taking forever.
