Jan. 3, 2006 - Cool Christmas Gifts and School

I forgot to mention that we are studying Resourcefulness... Inventions and small machines being our focus right now, and Grandma Barb got the boys such cool things!  

The boys got a lego set that has pieces parts for building a catapult and several gear-run things, and the really cool circuit board set that Jaedin has already built several sound/song making little gizmos!  My mom got them tinkertoys, so they are just going to town.  I think "School" may have already happened:)

Also, the pinewood derby is this month for scouts, so I got a video at the library about making cool pinewood cars.  Which will ALSO go with our unit:)

I figured it was a good topic for this month, with the pinewood derby, furniture fixing/refinishing and creating cool, useable spaces in the kids rooms.  WHoo Hoo... I feel so productive!
