Not quite sick... but everyone seems to be feeling blah.

We still did Bible and I started reading Belles on Their Toes (the sequel to Cheaper by the Dozen)  The kids did math and independant reading.  Once lunch was over, though, it became obvious that everyone wasn't quite feeling up to snuff.

Kainan went and had a nap during recess time, and nobody seemed too enthused for much of anything.

I decided we'd take the afternoon and watch a movie I borrwoed from the library called "Ruby Bridges" about one of the first children to go to a white school in Louisianna during the beginning of desegregation.  It was a great movie, and even emphasized Ruby's family faith.

We've studied that time period in history before.  It never fails to just amaze me how ignorant people can be ~ how carried away people can get following the "mob."

Anyway ~ the kids are doing their copywork for the day, then we're done!  I guess I'll just put off part of  the lesson plan for today until tomorrow.
