Feb. 3, 2006 - Not so much... But Mega Math Rocks

Posted in SCHOOL

Not so much of a day today.  I was feeling kind of under the weather myself, so I wasn't terribly inspired in the first place.

In addition to that, Sprite's father showed up for his visit with her 1/2 siblings Zaya and Abyni (yep, another Abyni) at 9:00 just as we were getting ready to start school.  So, after they left, it was almost 10:30, so we just did a couple of the independant subjects and chores.

The boys did their math review worksheets that Sprite did yesterday.  Kainan missed only 1, and Jaedin only missed 2.  That was pretty good ~ and they got them done quickly too. As a matter of fact, Kainan was "racing" me doing squares today.  He can do 95 squared faster than the calculator already... and most of the other numbers ending with 5 up to 110!  He's really quick with other numbers too, just not as fast... except with squares from 1 to 12 of course.  He has such a math brain!  I shouldn't be too surprised, even Sprite has been getting her math done in record speed... and she's the one that hates math (or used to).

Have I said it yet?  I LOVE Mega Math!

The kids all watched the rest of the Mickey's Silly Symphony, and Walking With Dinosaurs while I tried to stay awake this afternoon.  And Paris made french bread for making pizza pockets again.  She quadrupled the recipe so that there would be some plain french bread left over for french toast in the morning.  I'll have to post that recipe soon too...

Kainan had a birthday party to go to, and Steven stopped by with Sprite and the otehr kids again too.

A busy day altogether!

Off to Kainan's game
