Feb. 6, 2006 - Prayer for Friends

Dear Lord,

I would like to ask that you would bring Godly friends into my life. Give me the wisdom I need to choose friends who are Godly and help me to always stay on the path You have chosen for me.

I pray that you would take friends who are a bad influence out of my life, or change their hearts so they will be more like You.

Your Word, says, "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but he who walks with fools will be destroyed." (Proverbs 13:20) Please help me to not hang out with foolish peoples. Deliver me from anyone with an ungodly character so that I will not learn their ways.

Please take away my loneliness and help me to always feel good about myself so that I am not tempted to do things I shouldn’t just so people will like me.

Jesus, I pray that You teach me the true meaning of friendship. I ask that you help me find true friends, and especially that You would show me how to be a true friends. May everything I do glorify You in every way!
