Feb. 21, 2006 - The moldy house

For those who don't know... about 4 1/2 years ago we had to leave our house due to toxic (aspergillis versicolor) mold that was running rampant in the crawl space.  We lost pretty much everything that couldn't be washed in bleach ~ and that was the main reason we ended up living on the road in a bus. 

ANYway ~ we were in that house for a year... and I always knew there was something not right ~ A little while after we moved in, I noticed that there was a REALLY odd chemical-type smell that no one could figure out.  I had people come to test for gas leaks and whatnot, ntohing

Well... Dh comes home yesterday and tells me that he was in a house today that had that same distinctive odd smell that our "moldy" house had.  He said it was so strong of a memory as soon as he smelled it, he felt like he was back there.  The owner of that house then tells him he bought the house from an auction... it had been seized by teh govt. for having a meth lab.  Hmmmm.  I guess now yet another mystery of the house is solved.  Yet ANOTHER reason to be soooo thankful we weren't able to buy it!
