The wind blew at midnight, chilling White Beauty slightly, but her winter coat was beginning to grow and she was thankful for it. But still she was not happy at all. Every day, every hour, every minute, she was frustrated at the humans and why they had taken her captive. She kicked sometimes at the horrid fence that held her hostage, and she glared at anyone who came near her. They would not understand, no matter how desperately she wished they would.
