My name is Phoenix- alias Jean Grey Summers. I was born to Dr. John Grey who worked as a history professor at Bard College, and his wife Elaine. Before I joined up with the x-men I lived with my family in Annandale-on- Hudson, New York. I first found out I had super powers, (my telepathic powers) when my best friend, Annie Richards was ran over, I instinctively linked my mind with hers, and felt the pain and torture she was feeling. The feeling of the trauma, nearly kills myself along with Annie, but instead I fall into a coma. To awaken my catantonic state, my parents take me to a specialist, names Dr. Charles Xavier, who is the only one that can help me. Dr. Xavier, uses me to help locate mutants with his Cerebro machine. During one session, I sense, Scott Summers, at an orphanage, and an aspect of mind, in the shape of a golden Phoenix raptor, reaches out to him. Dr. Xavier realises that I can't control my powers yet, so he telepathically blocks my accesss to my powers. I develop my telekinetic powers, when I'm thirteen, and I leave my parents to go to Dr. Xavier's school for Gifted Youngsters, and using the name' Marvel Girl' I I become the first female in the X-Men, and I joined the team on it's first mission. While on a mission that takes us to space I'm observed by the Phoenix Force. I envision my transformation into Phoenix but within a few moments, I can't remember what I've seen.  |
