I have been using the My Father's World Kindergarten Curriculum with my five year old.  We love it!  We recently finished the lesson on Butterflies.  We spent several weeks studying them.  He learned the parts of the butterfly and two BIG words- chyrsallis and metamorphasis!  The finale of our study was a project in the local homeschool science/historey fair.   He won a second place ribbon and was so proud!

Here are the pictures from the project fair.  Yes, I helped with the display board, I organized, he cut and pasted.

His older brother did a project on China and got a participation ribbon.  He was quite upset that he didn't place.  He worked on it for three months.  He built a model of the Great Wall that took almost two months to finish.  He knew Chinese writing and he made (sewed- altered a pattern) a Emperor's Robe.  He also read about 8 books.
